Alberta Wever, 78, of Sutherland, NE passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at The Birch at Sutherland.

Alberta was born on June 8, 1945 in North Platte, NE the daughter of Albert and Dorothy Ruth (Blanchard) Hubert.

Alberta attended school and graduated from North Platte high school.  She was married to Fred Wever and together they had 2 sons.  Alberta worked as a director for the Sutherland Senior Center for many years.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ruth; husband, Fred; son, Doug; and brother, Harold Hubert.

She is survived by her son, David (Sharon) Wever of CA; and brothers, Bill and Don Hubert (Martha); and a sister, Roberta Gray.

A joint memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. for Alberta along with her brother-in-law Doug Seerley on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Baldwin officiating.  The memorial book will be available to sign on Wednesday February 28th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
