Alice "Viola" Patchin, 96, of North Platte, NE passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Great Plains Health Hospital.

Viola was born on February 22, 1927 in North Platte, NE the daughter of John L. and Amelia B. (Stoddard) Powell.

Viola graduated from North Platte High School.  She was married to Roy L. Patchin on August 30, 1947 in North Platte and together they had four children.  Viola was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and crafts.  She attended the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; coffee clatter extension club; and the Christian Women's Club.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Patty (Stanley) Cabico of CO, Wanda (Clifford) Hagman of WA; and Viola Morsbach of MO; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Leva Cochran of North Platte, Alberta (Clifford) Freeze of Brady, and Bonnie White of Lincoln; daughter in law, Sheila Butler of AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy; son, Raymond; grandson, Chad Cabico; great-grandson, Levi Morsbach; sisters and brothers in law, Blanche (Lloyd) Collins, Betty (John) Muhlenkamp, Dick White and William Cochran; son in law, Marvin Morsbach.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.  Burial and graveside service will follow on Monday, March 13 ^th at 10:00 a.m. at Fort McPherson National Veterans Cemetery near Maxwell.  Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lincoln County Historical Museum.
