Arlene Ruth Pace, 76, of North Platte, passed away peacefully May 5, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 29, 1940 to Marion and Freda (Lindemeier) Nutt at Elsie, NE. She graduated from Elsie High School with the class of "57". On July 24, 1957, Arlene was united in marriage to Ray Pace at Grant, NE. They moved to North Platte in 1965, where Arlene was employed at A&W Restaurant as a waitress and manager for over 18 years. She taught Sunday school at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and enjoyed ceramics and portrait painting. She is survived by her husband, Ray of North Platte; four children, Freda (Mike) Fredrickson of North Platte, Morse (Barb) Pace of Lincoln, Rodney (Mary) Pace and Raelene (Joe) Waltemath both of North Platte; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne (Freda) Nutt of Dickens, Tom (Sharon) Nutt of Holdrege and Glen Nutt of Elsie. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Dwight Nutt; two sisters, Bertha Harvey and Norma Nutt; two brothers, Marlin and Morse Nutt; and a granddaughter, Angel Pace. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ford Craig officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
