Arline Mae Kumor, 93, of North Platte, passed away March 5, 2013 at home. She was born August 30, 1919 to Henry and Mada (Hand) Beck at O'Dell, Nebraska. Arline attended grade school in a country school west of Grant, Nebraska and graduated high school in Holyoke, Colorado. She had her first communion in Holyoke and was confirmed at the same time as her mother. She served the soldiers during WWII at the Canteen in North Platte. Arline married Frank Kumor on August 21, 1940 in Grant, Nebraska and spent her adult life being a farm wife, raising chickens and a big garden. She liked to sew and was an excellent cook. In 1954, they moved from Perkins County to a farm west of North Platte. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court 1549, Platte Valley Women's Club and Nebraska Farm Bureau. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Green of North Platte; two sons, Frank (Pat) Kumor of Bellevue, Nebraska and Neil (Anne) Kumor of North Liberty, Iowa; a sister, Eris Lee and brother, Gerald (Mary Jo) Beck; brother-in-law Leon (Charlotte) Kumor; sister-in-law's Victoria Kumor and Josephine Foy; grandchildren; Brent Kumor, Rebecca (Donnie) Zurcher, Joe (Vanessa) Kumor, Elizabeth (Joe) Williams, Ben (Stephanie) Kumor, John (Jessica) Kumor, Andrew (Brittany) Kumor, Lori (Jeff) Rote, and Alex Kumor: sixteen great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; and very special friends, Tim & Cindy Bundy. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; daughter, Loretta; brother, Bill Beck; mother and father-in-law; daughter-in-law, Peggy Kumor and son-in-law, Richard Green. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9 at St Patrick's Catholic Church. Rosary will be 10:30 a.m. prior to the mass at the Church. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1 to 5 pm Thursday, 8:30am to 8:00 pm Friday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel and prior to the mass at the church.
