Betty Rae Stoldorf, 80, of North Platte, passed away on Oct. 16, 2024, at Great Plains Health.
She was born on May 16, 1944, in Fairmont, the daughter of Max and Verna (Storm) West. She grew up in Fairmont and graduated from Fairmont High School. Betty then attended beauty school in Lincoln and opened a beauty shop in Fairmont. She married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Stoldorf, on April 8, 1967, in Fairmont.
Betty was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She never missed a single event for any of her children or grandchildren. She enjoyed flower gardening and was an accomplished seamstress. She worked at Milan's Platte Floral for several years. Betty loved to laugh and especially loved her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Verna; brothers, Dickie West and Bob "Dino" West; and sister-in-law, Julie Stoldorf.
Left to cherish Betty's memory are her husband, Robert "Bob"; children, Shelly (Shane) Greeley and Kris (Scott) Pearson, both of North Platte; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Cody) McSparren, Dalton (Sarah Sheldon) Greeley, Jordyn Pearson and Jeff Pearson; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Colten, Spencer, and a great-granddaughter on the way; sister, Connie Niedt; sisters-in-law, Virginia Richardson and Vicki West; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Evans officiating. Burial follows at 2 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, near Maxwell. Service will be livestreamed at www.carpentermemorial.com. Memorial book will be available to sign from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
