On the morning of December 12th, 2022, Candi Ann Burns of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away at the age of 65.

Candi was born to Barb and Andy Collins in the spring of 1957.  Throughout her life she enjoyed a love of music and animals.  She shared that joy through participation in 4H and the Freedom Train Singers. Candi graduated from North Platte High in 1975 and received a Bachelor of Science in Education from University of Nebraska Lincoln in 1979.  While teaching in Hershey she met John Burns.  They married in 1981.  Candi and John went on to have four children Kassidy, Shay, Dane, and Zachary "Viola".  She loved her family fiercely and devoted her life to raising her children.

Candi is preceded in death by her father Andy, and her aunt Marcia. She is survived by her husband, John, and four children Kassidy (daughter Lillian), Shay (significant other Riley and children Macie, Jacie, and Hank), Dane, and Zachary "Viola" (significant other Sierra), and her mother Barb, and her siblings Deb (Ken), Merri Jo (significant other Tripp), Mike (Kathy), and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Her viewing will be held at Carpenter Memorial Chapel on Friday December 16, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm.  Her celebration of life will be held at CB Hideaway on December 17, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Carpenter Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.  Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.
