IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Chris Michael
Roy
July 8, 1963 – August 12, 2023
Chris Michael Roy "C. Roy", 60, of Lincoln, NE passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln, NE from MDS (a form of Leukemia).
Chris was born on July 8, 1963 and went to high school at North Platte High. He was born to Frank Roy and Annette Chavis but Bob Chavis helped to raise him and was his dad for most of his life. C. Roy was an avid North Platte High School Bulldog football fan. C. Roy worked at Nusource Holdings Inc as a Field Service Technician. He had started a career with Nebraska Cellular in 1991 where he met many life-long friends, some he called his daughters. He continued with the merged companies for over 20 years.
C. Roy loved music, playing guitars, and repairing and restoring musical instruments, radios, and speakers. He restored many antiques, especially with a connection back to his home or where he grew up. Anyone who met C. Roy was amazed by his intelligence and ability to fix anything. His interests expanded across many different trades, yet there was nothing he couldn't figure out and master.
Those left to cherish C. Roy's memory are his parents, Robert "Bob" Chavis and Annette "Annie" Marie Chavis of North Platte; brothers, Mitch Roy of North Platte and Dana (Heather) Roy of Grand Island; nephews, Tyson, Casey, Landon, and Creighton Roy; special Lincoln friends, Bill, Donna, Kristen, Courtney and Shelby Kovarik; and many other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his biological dad, Frank Roy.
