Cleonice C. Hendricks, 98, of North Platte, NE passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Linden Court.

She was born on July 29, 1926 in Campbell, NE the daughter of Albert and Orise L. (Heureux) Heinrich.  Cleo grew up in Campbell, NE attended school and graduated from Campbell High School.  Following graduation she was able to teach in a 1 room country rural school near Campbell until she was married on June 9, 1947 to Dwaine Hendricks.  Cleo was a proud active member of the American Legion Post 284 Auxiliary for over 60 years in Upland, NE, as well as an RSVP volunteer.  She enjoyed babysitting young children, playing golf, gardening, and sewing.

Left to cherish Cleo's memory are her children, Randy (Kathy) Hendricks of Sutherland, Roxie Hendricks of Greeley, CO, and Reg Hendricks of North Platte; grandchildren, Vanessa (Dan) Kennicutt, Colton (Holly) Bruegman, and Chip (Tami) Bruegman; great grandchildren, Chance Kennicutt (fiancée Samantha), Bailey Kennicutt, Carli, Cade, and Quinn Bruegman; sisters, Celestine "Sally" Kral of Minden, and Cheryl Matthews of North Platte; brother, Charles (Genia) Heinrich of Coral Springs, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Orise; husband, Dwaine; brother, Clayton Heinrich; and sisters, Corela Smith, Charlotte Markwardt, and Clarice Elmshaeuser.

Prayer services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Father Vidya Sagar Arikotla officiating.  Burial will follow at Fort McPherson National Veterans Cemetery, near Maxwell at 11:00 a.m.  Memorial book will be available to sign and family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27th at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
