Dale L. Tobey, 78, of North Platte, went to sleep and woke up to his Lord and Savior on March 17, 2013. He was born September 8, 1934 to Arthur L. and Mamie (Spradlin) Tobey on the home place 4 miles south of Maxwell. He graduated from Maxwell High School in 1952. Dale married Sandra (Phillips) Tobey on June 17, 1956 in North Platte. Survivors include his wife, Sandra, of North Platte; two children, Teresa Ann (Randal) Hiatt of Alliance, NE.; Russell Ray (Rhonda) Tobey of North Platte; four grandchildren, Brandon (Anna) Hiatt, Erin (Erik) Erickson, Amy (Garrod) Lamberty, Blake (Ashley) Tobey; two great grandchildren, Abby and Hunter Hiatt; one brother, Delbert , sister in law, Jenevie Tobey, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Donald William and Milton L., and a sister in law, Carolyn. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Maxwell Baptist Church, with Pastor Bob Allen and Pastor Bob Townsend of Pleasant Point Community Church officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Maxwell Baptist Church Building Fund or donor's choice. Visitation 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
