Darlene Bernice Miller, 86, of Sutherland, NE passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Great Plains Health Hospital.

Darlene was born on December 8, 1938 in Florence, CA, the daughter of Everett Ray and Charlotte (Kimmel) Guntle. She was married to Walter Dale Miller on May 19, 1956 in Las Vegas, NV at a double wedding with her sister.

Walter worked in construction and they traveled and lived all over the country settling in Sutherland, NE.

Those left to cherish her memory are, sons: Randy (Dian) Miller of Brewster, NE, Ronald D. (Tina) Miller of Ravenna, NE and Roger Miller of Ravenna, NE; seven grandchildren: Chan (Megan) Miller, Ryen (Megan) Miller, Rusty Miller, Riley Miller, Shannon Miller, Randy "Bubba" Miller and Ronald (Lisa) Miller Jr; great grandchildren: Siera, Avyla, Beaudin and Zellie; and numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; grandson, Bradley Jo Miller; daughter in law, Angela Miller; and several brothers and sisters.

Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday January 17, 2025 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, Nebraska.

Carpenter Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
