Dawn L. (Roberts) Pitner, 46, of North Platte, passed away June 9, 2016 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. She was born March 11, 1970 to Gerald and Rita (Harris) Roberts at Bassett, NE. Dawn grew up in Maxwell, where she graduated with the class of "88" and participated in various sports. On March 22, 1999, she was united in marriage to Eric Pitner at Las Vegas, NV. Being a mom to Kennedy was the most important job in Dawn's life. She is survived by her husband, Eric and daughter, Kennedy of North Platte; her father, Gerald Roberts of Maxwell, her mother, Rita Light of North Platte; siblings, Mike (Sarah) Roberts of Maxwell, Natalie (Shane) Moats of North Platte and Cassie Roberts of Lincoln; mother-in-law, Margaret Pitner; sisters and brothers-in-law, April (fiancé' Dave Hovden) Pitner, Tony (Dawn) Pitner, and Robby (Terri) Pitner, all of North Platte; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Robert Pitner; her grandparents, Ross and Louise Roberts and Bill and Loretta Harris. Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermemorial.com. Memorials are suggested to the family for Kennedy's education. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. C. P. Varghese as celebrant. Burial will be at the North Platte Cemetery. A Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Monday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 Monday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
