Donna Lou Meierding Stoddard, 89, of Coumbus, NE, passed away on September 30, 2025 at Edgewood Columbus Senior Living.

She was born on October 27, 1935, the daughter of Clyde H. and Anna Lou (Kelley) Halligan of North Platte, NE.

She was married to Bennie R. Meierding, and to this union three children were born Pamela D., Scott L., and Elizabeth L. She then married Will "Bill" Stoddard and they were married for 33 years.

Donna worked at the First United Methodist Church in North Platte, NE, was Vice President at Columbus Bank and Trust Company, and worked for Allied Tour and Travel. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and knitting in her free time.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband-Will Stoddard; daughters Pamela D. (James) McKenney and Elizabeth L. (Rex) Freeman; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; stepson Jerry Stoddard; 2 step-grandsons; and 7 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Bennie R. Meierding; son Scott L. Meierding; grandson Douglas James McKenney; and step-daughters Beverly Elaine Stoddard and Jana Stoddard.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery with Pastor Michael Evans officiating.  A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday October 5, 2025 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, with family receiving friends during this time.
