Douglas "Doug" G. Todd, age 82, of North Platte passed away January 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Doug was born March 17, 1942, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Faye and Eva Todd. Their happy family moved to North Platte where he spent his childhood and graduated high school with a passion to excel.

Through his hard work, Doug was able to open his own mechanic business, Todd's Alinement. There he became a mentor to his loyal employees, forming long-lasting bonds which persisted through the highs and lows of life. Through their hard work, Todd's Alinement won many awards and was known by many as the best alinement and mechanic shop in town.

In addition to his work for his business, Doug was rarely idle at home. He was a hardworking craftsman and carpenter, with many projects constantly in progress. Despite his hard-working personality, Doug never forgot how to relax and enjoy nature. He spent many hours in duck blinds and goose pits with friends and family.

Doug Todd leaves behind many family members and goes ahead to reunite with many more in heaven. Among his family are his parents (deceased); his partner and best friend and the one who made him smile and laugh Judy; his kids Tracy and Susan and their children Brian and Brandon (Athena), Kim and Hoyt and their children Breyden, Brenner, and Braxton, Chadd and Joni and their children Conner (Bailee) and Tristen, Justin T. (deceased), and Steven (deceased) and his children Jessica, Toni (Hendri), and Doug (Kaylee).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor John Stone officiating. There will be a book signing from 12-5 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel which is in charge of arrangements.
