Edward E. Pease 89, of North Platte, passed away on May 8, 2021, at Great Plains Health.
He was born on November 7, 1931, to James D. and Mattie (Small) Pease at North Platte, NE
Edward graduated with the class of 1949 at North Platte High School. He entered the United States Army on February 17, 1953, and was Honorable Discharged on February 16, 1955, with special service assigned G Company 138 Infantry.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Jean Hock on February 14, 1958, in North Platte, NE. To this union, 4 children were born.
Edward worked as a Carman for Union Pacific Railroad for 63 years. He also did carpentry work.
He was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion. Ed loved his children and great-grandchildren. He loved to read the Bible. He enjoyed the farm and country life. Ed was an avid Nebraska football fan. He always hung a Herbie out to support Nebraska on game day.
Edward is survived by his wife Carolyn of 64 years, sons, Randy (Betty) Pease of Arnold, NE, Michael Craig Pease of Arizona; daughter Chris De Lynn Moore of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Benjamin, Derek, C.J., Joshua, Krisann, Jacob, and Jordan; Great-grandchildren, Marcus, and Felicity; Sister, Mary Ann (Bob) Perlick of OR.; and many numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Allen Pease; Parents; grandson, Mark; brothers, Roland, Bob, and Jim Pease; sisters, Bonnie Jean Cooper and Evelyn Pease Daugherty.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Fort McPherson National Cemetery with Chaplain Ned Cooper officiating. Full Military Honors provided by the North Platte Honor Guard. Book signing will be 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday, June 7, 2021, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
