Elizabeth "Betty" M. Candea, 94, of North Platte, NE passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 at North Platte Care Center.

Betty was born on November 19, 1928 in North Platte the daughter of George and Marie (Mica) Candea.

She was a graduate of North Platte high school and worked for many years as a dietary aide in the cafeteria at Memorial Hospital.  She loved her job at the hospital and enjoyed helping people, she retired on December 26, 1998.  She was a life-long member of First Lutheran Church in North Platte.  Betty was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and she enjoyed bowling.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is fondly remembered by her church family and friends, especially Claudette and Gene Nelson of North Platte.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and by all her siblings, Margaret Borns, David, Thomas, Dean, Victor, and George Candea.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens with Pastor Patrick Sipes officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church.

Carpenter Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
