Frankie Lee Fries, 56, of North Platte, NE passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Great Plains Health Hospital.
He was born on May 16, 1968 in Sidney, NE the son of Kenneth John Buxbaum, Sr. and Jacquline Ora (Williams) Wilson. He attended school in Bridgeport and Bayard, NE. Frank worked in retail for most all of his career at local tire centers and with Gary's Superfood store in North Platte. He enjoyed having coffee with friends and liked puttering around town. Frank also was known as having a great sense of humor and a "jokester". He enjoyed camping and fishing, as well as the occasional alcoholic beverage. Frank also had a love and passion for culinary arts and cooking. Most of all he loved his daughters and spending time with his grandkids.
Left to cherish Frank's memory are his daughters, Chauntel and Tiffany Fries; siblings, Kenny Buxbaum, Jr. (Cherri), Russ Buxbaum (Lindsey), Kristine Busskhol (Scott), Rebecca Hirnshall, and Richard Fries; stepmom, Geraldine Buxbaum; former 1st wife, Kimberly Anne Angel; former 2nd wife, Laura Gail Smith; uncle and aunt, Steve Pursley (Bonnie); as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Jacquline; and by a sister, Nicole "Nikki" Johnston Knepp.
A Celebration of Frankie's Life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 12-5 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1600 W E St, North Platte in the coffee fellowship room. Family and guests are asked to enter the church through the Northwest doors off the parking lot. Cremation has been chosen and burial will be private at a later date. Carpenter Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
