Gerald L. Meissner, 85, of Wellfleet, NE passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at his home.  He was born on July 12, 1938 in Quick, NE the son of Leo and June Meissner.

He married Lynn in Lexington, NE on May 27, 1968. They were blessed with six loving children, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Gerald served the U.S. Army from 1963-1965.  He was stationed in Hawaii as an operator.  Over his lifetime career he had several jobs as a switchboard operator and truck driver.  His true passion was his family farm in Wellfleet.  He will be truly missed by his loved ones and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kenlyn, Kevin, Lesley, Troy, Ginia, and Susie; grandchildren, Kendrick, Kendahl, Breanna, Austin, Matthew, Madison; 6 great grandchildren; numerous extended family, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, and wife of 54 years, Lynn.

A Celebration of Gerald's Life will be held at Thanksgiving, which was the family's most cherished holiday.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
