Gordon Gerald "Jerry" McIntosh, 89, of North Platte, NE died September 16, 2024 at Great Plains Health.

Jerry was born on March 14, 1935 in Grand Island, NE to Reuben and Mildred McIntosh.  He attended Grand Island schools in his early years and North Platte High School when his father was transferred with Union Pacific Railroad.  Jerry graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1953.  He married his high school sweetheart, Dona Walsh, in 1953, and to this union 4 children were born.

Jerry worked as a clerk for the Union Pacific Railroad for 43 years, was a member of TCU for 43 years and served as local chairman for 19 years. He was also a member of the Eagles Club #2839.

Jerry and Dona enjoyed fishing, driving on country roads, casinos and evenings on the patio.

He is survived by his children, Chris (Punky) Poff of LaCenter, WA, Robert (JoEllen) McIntosh of North Platte, and Kim Sorrells of North Platte; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dona; daughter, Ranelle and grandson, Mike.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  Cremation was chosen.  Carpenter Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
