Harlan William Kepler, 87, of North Platte, NE passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Linden Court.

Harlan was born on April 11, 1936 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of William Charles and Wilhelmina (Hodge) Kepler.  Harlan was married on December 21, 1957 in Omaha to Linda L. Rybin and together they had three children.  Harlan spent his entire career as a telephone splicer with Northwestern Bell Telephone and its later subsidiaries until his retirement in 1993.  He enjoyed camping with his family and especially loved lake fishing in Minnesota.

Harlan is survived by a son, Michael (Becky) Kepler of IA; daughters, Diane (Stacey) Sharp of North Platte and Karen Kepler of North Platte; grandchildren, Steven and Jacob Kepler, Greg Lindekugel, Steven (Nikki) Lindekugel, Michael (Allison) Steele, and Seth Pell; 11 great grandchildren; and a sister, Colleen Mau of Omaha.

Harlan was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 50 years, Linda.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Baldwin officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens in North Platte.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25th at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
