Obituary

Doris Imogene Davison, 95, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025 at Linden Court in North Platte, Nebraska.  She was born on a farm in Norton County, Kansas to John and Leona (Palmer) Railsback on December 21, 1929.  In February 1949, she married Clarence R. (Click) Davison and they made their home in Ogallala, Nebraska.  This union was blessed with seven sons, Don, Rodney, Larry, Steven, Kevin, Kent, and Monte.  While raising her family, she worked at a drive-in theater concession stand, Goodall Electric, Indian Hills Manor, and TRW Electrics/American Suzuki.

Imogene enjoyed country music, crafting, word search puzzles, watching Golden Girls and Andy Griffith on television, and visits from her family.  She enjoyed hosting family reunions and holiday gatherings. She enjoyed looking at Christmas lights each year.  Imogene loved cardinals.  She was a great cook. She loved babysitting her grandchildren and watching them grow up and have families too. She enjoyed looking at old family pictures and could tell a story about each one of them. She loved seeing new pictures of her great-grandchildren.  In her lifetime, Imogene survived scarlet fever, polio, and cancer.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a Blue Star Mother, and was honored with the Molly Pitcher Award.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence (Click); son, Don; daughters-in-law Pearl Davison, Karen Davison; brothers Sonny, Merl, Donald, Franklin, Verlyn, and Harry; sisters Ila McIntosh, Mavis Ohlson, Dorothy Coler, Maxine Brown, Katherine Brunner.

Survivors include sons Rodney Davison of North Platte, NE; Larry Davison of Lincoln, NE; Steven (Kay) Davison of Ogallala, NE; Kevin Davison of Ogallala, NE; Kent (Jeannine) of Lincoln, NE; and Monte (Shawna) of North Platte, NE; daughter-in-law Kristie Davison of Paxton, NE, ten grandchildren, many step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and one brother, Loren Railsback of Peoria, AZ

After cremation, a memorial service will be held at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, 1616 West B Street, North Platte, NE on April 25, 2025 at 12 pm (CST).  A luncheon will be served immediately after the service.  Interment will follow at Fort McPherson Cemetery, Maxwell, NE.  Carpenter Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorials may be sent in lieu of flowers to Gift of Hope Cancer Foundation, P. O. Box 2237, North Platte, NE  69103-2237.
