Janice E. Zeigler, age 81, of North Platte, NE passed away on February 2, 2025 at North Platte Care Center.

She was born on February 14, 1943 the daughter of Dorothy (Powers) and Ray Honor Gray.  Janice grew up in Lincoln, NE and attended Wesleyan College. She married Everett Zeigler on December 28, 1960 in Lincoln, NE. The couple moved to North Platte in the early 60's where she worked at Tomahawk Truck Stop for several years as a bookkeeper for corporate Tomahawk.

Janice loved to knit and was very crafty, crocheting and knitting, making many blankets and numerous items. She also liked to go camping and fishing.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Toby (Carolyn) Zeigler of North Platte, NE and Raymond (Shirley) Zeigler of Cozad, NE; son in law Bruce Kohl of North Platte, NE; grandchildren Candy Zeigler of Washington, Jennifer (Marshall) Carey of North Platte, NE, Jamie Zeigler of Iowa, Josh Zeigler of Cozad, NE, Jocelyn Zeigler of Nevada, and Lisa Sabin ; great-grandchildren Cody Brown and Alec Snedden of Washington, Alexander, Arthur, and Corey Preitauer of Illinois, Kassander of Brady, Sabin of Lexington, Mathew and Jacob of North Platte, Megan,  Shawn (Kristy) Kohl, Toby Kohl, Malory and Ozzie Callihan, Mattaya Kohl, Skyler Ziegler, and Devin Ziegler;  great-great-grandchildren Tucker, Jack, and Jev Kohl; sister in law Belva (Marvin) Godfrey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Everett, sister Judy Ray, and Kathy Cole and daughter Mary Ziegler.

Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery with Officiant Marvin Godfrey presiding.
