Obituary
Jean H. Liska, 85, of North Platte, passed away Oct. 29, 2016 at Great Plains Health. She was born July 29, 1931 to Jacob and Marjorie (Huffer) Deines at Cheyenne, WY. She lived on a farm outside of Briggsdale, CO with her parents until her father passed away. Jean and her mother lived in Briggsdale, Greeley and Cheyenne before moving to North Platte. Jean was united in marriage to Robert Liska. Together they loved to travel. She enjoyed crocheting and made numerous afghans. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Melody (David) Keele, Lisa Harper and Malia (Mike) Trujillo; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larrel Moore; a sister, Ala Mae Schaeffer; and a great granddaughter, Jocelynn. Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermemorial.com. Memorials are suggested to Parkinson Foundation. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Brenda K. Lee officiating. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in care of arrangements.
