Joel "Bud" D. Gale, 86, life-long resident of North Platte, NE passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg, NE.

He was born on February 12, 1937 in North Platte, NE the son of William and Cynthia (Chamberlin) Gale.  He was married on February 13, 1955 to Tootie Luschen in North Platte at the Nazarene Church.  Together they had three daughters, Becky, Cindy, and Deb.  Bud loved working for the city as a fire fighter with the North Platte fire department.  He was a master plumber by trade and owned and operated Gale Plumbing for many years.  Bud was a member of Harvest Christian Fellowship and enjoyed serving his Lord and the church.  He was an avid Husker fan and held season tickets, which he was able to bless others with including his grandchildren.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 68 years, Tootie; daughter, Deb Johnson of North Platte; grandchildren, Justin (Kim) Gosnell, Jason (Julie)Gosnell, Misty (Craig) Ring, and Amber Garcia; great-grandchildren, Colt Gosnell, Kurri Gosnell, Ava Gosnell, Blake Gosnell, Jaden Gosnell, Abriana Contos, Abigail Contos, Taelor Garcia, Stefanie Garcia, Joel Garcia, David Rinke, and Jonathan Rinke; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Cindy Kay Gale and Becky Lynn Gale; siblings, Kenneth, William, Calvin, Darell, and Al Gale, Pat Jergensen and Ruth Kalb.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Harvest Christian Fellowship with Pastor Jeremy Rinke officiating. Burial will follow at North Platte City Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Sunday, April 2 ^nd from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
