Kay Elaine Peters, 76, went home to Heaven February 11, 2025, from Omaha, NE. She was born October 30, 1948 in Everest, KS.

Kay was the heart and soul of her family. She gave her children the love that knew no limits and worked tirelessly to ensure their happiness. She had a special gift for spoiling them with the little things that mattered most – whether it was a favorite treat, a thoughtful gesture, or simply the gift of her time.

One of Kay's greatest joys in life was becoming a grandmother. She often said that her grandchildren brought her happiness like no other, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Whether it was sharing stories, creating memories, or simply watching them grow, her heart swelled with pride and love for each of them.

In recent years, Kay was filled with a renewed sense of joy and energy, thanks to the arrival of her beloved great grandson, Tyler. His presence brought a sparkle to her eyes and an infectious smile to her face, reminding her of the simple joys of life.

Her kindness and nurturing spirit was not only felt by family, but by her many friends that were dear to her.  She always had a way of making others feel seen, valued, and important. Her friends and family were blessed to have her in their lives, and her legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those she loved.

Kay is proceeded in death by mother Ruth Bower, father Robert Bower, and son Jeffrey Peters.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia Stewart; son Greg (Tara) Peters; grandchildren Brody and Nathan; great grandson Tyler; niece Kim (Robert) Sparkman, nephew Charles (Denise) Smith, and other family members.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church in North Platte, NE with the Pastor Michael Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. A book signing will be held Friday, April 11th, 2025 from 12-5 PM at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
