Larry Ross Bland, 75, of Sutherland, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Centennial Park Nursing Home in North Platte, NE.

Larry was born on March 31, 1948 in Highland, Kansas the son of Victor and Ruth (Craige) Bland.

Larry graduated from college in California with a two-year degree.  He was a UPS driver in Cape Canaveral, FL and finished his career as a truck driver with Crete Trucking.  He enjoyed driving a grain truck for local farmers during the harvest season and was a board member of the Sutherland Senior Center.  Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and was a certified scuba diver.

He was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Ruth, and by his best friend, Mark White.

He is survived by a daughter, Cortney Bland of Richmond, VA; brother, Gregory (Marcia) Bland of North Platte; nephews, Douglas, Ryan and Michael Bland; cousins, Sheri Davis, Deb and Tom Beckwith; and many friends.  Larry is also remembered by his good friends, Darrell White and family, and all his morning coffee buddies.

Per Larry's wishes cremation has been chosen and there will be no services.

Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte has been entrusted with the arrangements.
