Larry A. Henry, 78, of North Platte, passed away April 29, 2019 at Sutherland Care Center.

He was born May 17, 1940, on the family farm near Gandy  to Arthur and Eva Grace (Clark) Henry.  Larry graduated from North Platte High School with the class of "58".

On November 21, 1959, he was united in marriage to Mary Grabbe at First Baptist Church in North Platte.  Larry started farming and ranching with his family, eventually moving southwest of North Platte.

Mr. Henry was a member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years, past board member for Miller School District School Board, past President of Rural Fire District and member of the Lincoln County Ag. Society for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of North Platte; daughter, Dawn (Gerald) Walker of Falcon, CO; son, George Henry of Downs, KS; brother, Bill (Sharron) Henry of North Platte; two sisters, Lonna Applehof of Yuba City, CA and Karen (Virgil) Lehmkuhler of Sidney, NE; grandchildren, Nathan, Micah (Cori) and Hannah; two great-granddaughters, Charis and Aryel; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Larry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-in-law, Bill Smith and Milton Applehof; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Henry.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church and North Platte Volunteer Fire Department.  Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2019 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Clint Walker officiating.  Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in care of arrangements.
