LOIS L. WOBIG CONNERY
Lois L. Wobig Connery, 83, of North Platte, passed away October 30, 2013 at Linden Court. She was born November 19, 1929 to Harry and Hazel Wobig, at her parent's home, south of Cody on the Niobrara River. She attended grade school at the Boiling Springs flat and high school in Cody, NE. Lois was united in marriage to Orin Mac Connery on August 22, 1946 in Valentine, NE. The couple had three children; Gary, Dan and Jan. In 1961, the family moved from the ranch on the Niobrara River to Cody and their children attended school at Cody High School. Mac took over a rural mail route from his father. Lois loved her family and friends. She enjoyed making a home life with gardening, flowers, and loved ones. Her six grandchildren were loved dearly and they were very special to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mac Connery on July 22, 2001; father, Harry Wobig in Sept. 1963; her one and only sister, Jacqueline in Feb. 1973. She is survived by her children, Gary (Kay) Connery of North Platte, Dan (Yvonne) Connery of Mitchell, NE, Jan (Tim) McQuade of North Platte; six grandchildren, Dana Connery of Scottsbluff, Travis McQuade of Hastings, Amy Connery (Matt) Harmon of North Platte, J.C. Connery of Scottsbluff, Trea McQuade (Josh) Stone of Kearney, Tyler (Krista) Connery of Little Elm, TX; seven great-grandchildren, Madison, Sierra, Austin, Kiley, Ella, Jayna, and Asher; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-laws, Dixie Connery of Chadron and Janet Connery of Bassett; special friends, Delbert and Barb Fullerton of Gothenburg. Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermemorial.com. Memorials are suggested to the Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Box 224, Cody, NE 69211. Cremation was chosen. Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte. Additional services will be 2:00 p.m. MT, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Adamson Community Complex in Cody, NE. Inurnment will follow at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
