IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lorraine Delores
Chesley
June 28, 1928 – June 27, 2019
Lorraine D. Chesley, 90, of North Platte passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus June 27, 2019 surrounded by her family. Lorraine was born to John & Emma Olson at Tallin Table south of Arnold on June 28, 1928, the youngest of six children. She attended country school and later Arnold High School.
Lorraine was introduced to Pete by her brother, Vernon. Pete & Lorraine were married June 12, 1948 in North Platte & enjoyed 70 years together. The couple was blessed with three children: Nick, Steve and Pam, and resided in Arnold. In 1971, Pete & Lorraine began their careers as motel owners and operators, owning motels in several states before retiring to Longmont, CO in 1986. They returned to North Platte in 1993.
Lorraine was a tireless worker and her family was her greatest love. She had a warm smile, infectious laugh and the kindest of hearts. Lorraine possessed the gift of mercy in large measure and her love was unconditional and sacrificial. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten by everyone who had the good fortune to know her.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete in 2018; sisters, Elnora Olson & Verna Klatt; brothers, Vernon (Joyce) Olson and Leonard (Leuna) Olson; brothers-in-law, Eldon Klatt & Archie Nansel; bonus son, Alan F. Hall, Jr. and grandson JP Hall. Lorraine lovingly leaves behind her sister, Edna Nansel; children, Nick, Steve (Cindy) and Pam (John) Lee; grandchildren, Dustin (Noelle) Schrag, Amber Schrag, Emma & Hannah Lee; four great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
