Mary Jo (Luxa) Brauer, 79, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 at North Platte Care Center, North Platte, Nebraska.  Mary Jo was born on July 8, 1940 in Julesburg, Colorado, the daughter of Arlan and Maureen (Disney) Luxa.

She married Lloyd Brauer in Lodgepole, Nebraska on October 3, 1959.  He preceded her in death on December 25, 2018.  She is survived by her children Bryan (Jolene) of Holton, Kansas; Trevia (Scott) Bussell of Imperial, Nebraska; Anna (Chris) Kendall of Scranton, Kansas; and Brad (Denise) of North Platte; one sister, Arlene Johnson of Potter, Nebraska; grandchildren, Jessica Brauer, Nicole (Jonathon) Wilson, Justin (Marissa) Bussell, Kylee (Cody) DeWester, Amanda Kendall, Mikayla Brauer,  Brin  (Ricky Martin) Brauer and  great grandchildren, Zaiden and Austin Bussell,  Cale and Cason  DeWester. She was predeceased by two siblings, Barbara Seyler and Stephen Luxa and by four grandsons Dustin Bussell, Matthew Brauer, and twins Curtis and Cody Brauer.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Riverview Cemetery in Sutherland, NE. Memorial contributions to North Platte Premier Estates and cards of condolences for the family may be sent in care of Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
