Mary Ruth (Bass) Patterson, 71, passed away on February 7, 2021 at Gothenburg Hilltop Estates VA Hospital after suffering a massive stroke in her home at Buffalo Bill High Rise on January 31, 2021.

She was born on August 13, 1949 in Nowata, OK to Forrest and Bessie (Winters) Bass. She resides in OK until shortly after the death of her father in 1990 when she and her mother moved to North Platte to be near her mother's sisters and family. They were members of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Mary later moved to Maxwell where she met and married Walter Patterson. After she was widowed she moved to the North Platte Hi Rise with her little dog Charley. She was a very helpful and kindhearted person who made many friends there, including her best friend Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Bessie Bass; a brother, Charley Bass; and her husband, Walter Patterson.

Mary is survived by her brother, Mark and his wife Mary Lynn Bass; nephew and  many nieces whom loved her very much.

Inurnment will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, NE. Memorials are requested to the family to be designated at a later date.
