Mary Lou Sullivan
Mary Lou Sullivan, age 80, of North Platte passed away June 6, 2013 at Linden Court in North Platte. Mary Lou was born March 19, 1933 to Guy and Mabel (Cox) Furrow in Broken Bow, NE. She graduated from the Broken Bow High School in 1951. She married Norman Gubser on July 27, 1955 he passed away November 26, 1974. On March 15, 1980 she married Leon Sullivan. They moved to Lee's Summit, MO in August of 1986, moving to Omaha, NE in 1988 and returning to North Platte May 2012. She worked at the Telephone Company many years. She enjoyed playing cards with her many bridge clubs and she loved to dance. She is survived by three children, Randy Gubser of Hastings, NE, Mitch Gubser of Durango, CO, and Connie (Jeff) Toft of Oviedo, FL, four step children, Jim (Chris) Sullivan of Roanoke, VA, Kathy (Bryan) Bowman of North Platte, NE, Linda (Al) Fisher of North Platte, NE and Kevin Sullivan (Martha Brown) of Bossier City, LA, six grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman Gubser, sister, Mildred Balough and step-grandson, Travis Fisher. Rosary will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in North Platte. Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Memorials are suggested to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, North Platte Catholic Endowment Fund or Alzheimer's Association. Visitation will be noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
