Mary K. Wiemers, age75, of North Platte, died May 28, 2025 at Centennial Park Retirement Village.  She was born on June 29, 1949 in Omaha, NE to Robert and Rosemary (Mitera) McMahon.

Mary graduated high school in Omaha. On November 7, 1986, she married Eldon Wiemers in Boulder, CO.  The couple had resided in Denver, later moving to Arvada and Frisco, CO.  In 1991, they moved to North Platte where they began their careers as over the road truck drivers.  They retired in 2012, and spent their winters in Lake Havasu, AZ.

Mary enjoyed fishing, gardening, knitting, camping, and her dogs.  She will be remembered as a great cook, and as being the most fun-loving woman who enjoyed a good joke and loved life.  The center of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Eldon of North Platte; 4 children, Kip (Susan) Wiemers of Marsing, ID, Daniel (Tiffany) Messersmith of North Platte, Denise Messersmith of North Platte, and Darin Messersmith of Cozad; grandchildren, Derek Messersmith of North Platte, Amanda Wiemers of Marsing, ID, Eric Wiemers of Boise, ID, Cody Park of Gillette, WY, and Brody Messersmith of North Platte; a sister, Diane (Steve) Baker of Ft. Worth, TX; and numerous other family members and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Billy and Shawn McMahon.  A Memorial has been established to Holy Spirit Catholic Church and online condolences and the livestream of the service will be at carpentermemorial.com.

Christian Wake services will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday June 1, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday June 2, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.  Carpenter Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
