Matthew Reed Leeper , 55, of North Platte, passed away suddenly June 22, 2019 at Great Plains Health.  He was born April 24, 1964 to Donald and Betty (Brokaw) Leeper at Grand Island, NE.

Matt graduated from Wood River High School with the class of "82".  He worked at the truck stop in Wood River until 1987, then moving to North Platte to help his parents run Leeper Kennels. Matt started working at 3E Electrical, where he was currently employed.

He was united in marriage on  May 23, 1997 to Berdonna Mentzer.

Matt loved antiques, especially his beloved Fostoria.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandpa.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Amanda (Jeremy) Hankla; son, Brett (Kit) Mentzer; four grandchildren, Benjamin and Amilia Hankla and Parker and Piper Mentzer; all of North Platte; brothers, Paul (Sue) Leeper and Clay (Susie) Leeper; nieces, Jenna, Megan and Daisy; nephew, Clint; a great niece and three great nephews.

Matt was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Bert and Adina Housman; and an infant brother.
