Melissa Jean "Lis" Howell, age 38 of North Platte, passed away January 2, 2019 peacefully at her home. She was born March 1, 1980 at North Platte to Betty Fillmore-Lange and Ivan Fillmore, Sr. Melissa graduated from North Platte High School in 1999 and later was united in marriage to Craig Howell on August 15, 1999. She was active in the PTO at Jefferson School and enjoyed camping, fishing and vacations. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her daughter, Isabella. She is survived by her husband, Craig Howell, daughter, Isabella, mother, Betty Lange, father, Ivan Fillmore, Sr., brothers, Chris Horn and Ivan Fillmore, Jr., sister, Brenda (Randy) Weekly, mother-in-law, Linda Howell, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dr. Douglas A. Delp officiating. Cremation was chosen. Graveside services will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to and made payable to Isabella Howell Trust at Community Bank.
