Michael "Mike" Alan Tockey, 66 of Brady, NE passed away June 14, 2022. He was born on July 28, 1955 at Grand Island, NE to Thomas Paul Tockey and Eleanor Emily Harders. Michael grew up in the Grand Island area. His family moved to North Platte in 1973 and started his career at the Union Pacific Railroad for 23 years.

He is the father to 5 children; Brandi, Tom, Seth, Rollie and Cody.

Michael loved to ride horses and do anything outside. He was a true cowboy. Loved history of all kinds and genealogy.

He was a golden glove boxer in high school. Participated in wild horse races. Loved fishing, hunting deer and camping. He loved gardening and animals. He was very hard-working man with a great personality, appreciation for everything life gave him, with a strong faith in the Lord. He was an excellent arm wrestler and knew a lot about astrology and knew all the constellations.

Michael is survived by his children; Brandi Tockey Coleman of Grand Island, Thomas (Tommy) Tockey of Grand Island, Seth Tockey of North Platte, and Cody Tockey of Cozad, Brother, Bradley Tockey; sisters, Amy Tockey of Maxwell, Deborah (Jeff) Simonton of North Platte, Kimberly Parrett of Maxwell, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; his dog Emmy; 2 cats Lucky and Larry.

He is preceded in death by his son, Rolland Lee Tockey; grandson Rolland Lee Tockey, Jr; Brother, Kelly Brian Tockey, nephew, Bradley Michael Tockey, grandparents; Carl and Alvira Harders, Mary and Paul Tockey; great niece Kaitlan Malcom, brother-in-law, Danny Dale Parrett of Maxwell.

A gathering will be taken place at the Brady Community Center on Saturday, June 18, 2022 starting at 11:00 a.m. Book signing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022         at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
