Nancy Jane Morrison, age 74 of Hershey and North Platte, died July 12, 2024 at Great Plains Health surrounded by her family.  She was born on June 12, 1950 in Kansas City, KS to Wayne and Betty (Hooper) Reese.  Nancy grew up in the Overland Park, KS area and graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in 1968.  She went to work for her father's computer business Reese and Associates after high school.  She then attended Kansas State University.

She met Bob Morrison in Kansas City and the two were wed on September 11, 1982 in Shawnee, KS. The couple lived in several places as Bob moved with the railroad.  While they lived in Parsons, KS, Nancy worked at W. B. Johnson Grain Company there as a bookkeeper.  They moved to Hershey in 1988 and she worked at Hershey Mills and later as assistant Village Clerk in Hershey.

Nancy was active in the Our Lady of Guadelupe Catholic Church in Hershey.  She was an excellent cook, remembered for her Round Steak and homemade blue cheese dressing.  She enjoyed playing cards, especially pitch.  She will be remembered as the life of the party, always wanting the kids and their friends at the house, loving to entertain with friends and family.  She enjoyed camping and lake life.  The center of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Bob of North Platte; children, Jennifer (Josh) Kramer of North Platte, and Kenneth (Shelby) Morrison of Hershey; grandchildren, Peyton, Randi, and Emma Kramer, and another Kramer on the way, and Rhett and Macklin Morrison; sister and brother-in- law, Elizabeth (Merlin) Hiller of McCune, KS; niece and nephews, Corey, Kyle and Ashley Hiller; and a great nephew, Eli.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Memorials may be directed to the North Platte Catholic School Endowment or to the Hershey Public School Educational Foundation.  Online condolences and online streaming can be found at www.carpentermemorial.com.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday July 17, 2024 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Christian Wake Services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday July 16, 2024 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery at Sutherland.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 12-5.  Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in Charge of arrangements.
