Patricia M. Chittenden, 86, of North Platte, passed away June 12, 2019 at Linden Court.  She was born February 14, 1933 to Owen T. and June V. (Stoddard) Nelson at North Platte.

Patricia graduated from North Platte High School and went on to attend Graceland University at Lamoni, IA.  She was married to Robert W. Cox and to this union three children, Nora, Margaret and Robert were born. They lived in North Platte, where she was a bookkeeper at City Hall for a number of years.

After Robert's passing, she was later married to Clarence Chittenden and they resided in Stapleton, NE.  After Clarence passed away in 1975, Patricia moved back to North Platte and operated a daycare in her home.

She is survived by a daughter, Nora Yanken of North Platte; son, Robert (Peggy) Cox of Council Bluffs, IA; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; five brothers, James (Kathy), Richard, Daniel (Sandy), Harold and Albert; many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; daughter, Margaret; brothers, Ray, Tony and Glenn; and a sister, Anida.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Monday, June 17 ^th from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.  Cremation will follow visitation.  A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in care of arrangements.
