Patricia Ann Wagner, 80, of North Platte, NE passed away at her home on Thursday, October 24, 2024 surrounded by her loving and devoted family.
She was born on January 23, 1944, to Clyde and Janice (Hoyt) Scott in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her family moved to North Platte when she was in elementary school, and she graduated from North Platte High School in 1962. Following graduation from high school, she and her high school sweetheart, Roy Wagner attended and graduated from Kearney State College. She received her Bachelors in elementary education in 1965. Pat and Roy were married in September of 1965, and together they had a daughter Jennifer and son Mitchell. They moved to Omaha, and she began her teaching career in the Omaha Westside School District at Loveland Elementary. The family moved back to North Platte in 1971, and Pat continued her teaching career at various schools, including Jefferson, Washington and Buffalo Elementaries, and Adams Middle School. Along with teaching, Pat kept busy with many other activities. She worked in the Miss Nebraska Scholarship Pageant, serving as President. She was also involved in PEO and the Goodfellow Show Fund. In her free time, Pat enjoyed traveling with family and friends, shopping, and spoiling her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Janice Scott.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 59 years, Roy Wagner; daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Anderson of Glen Carbon, IL; son, Mitchell (Charlotte) Wagner of North Platte; grandchildren, Joshua Anderson, Gabriella Wagner, Nicole Anderson, Roy Cyrus Wagner, Rance Hofstetter, Reece Hofstetter, and Ridley Hofstetter; sisters, Sue Cromwell of Hickman, NE, and Barb Scott of Akron, CO; sisters-in-love, Karen Kellis and husband Mike of Omaha, Nebraska, Sally Mahoney of North Platte, Nebraska; brother-in-love, Lloyd Wagner and wife Judy, of Goodyear, Arizona; nieces and nephew.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor John Stone officiating. The family will receive friends during a light dessert reception to follow the service. The memorial book will be available to sign on Friday, November 1st from 9 am to 5 pm at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Hospital for Children, Deborah's Legacy, or to the Goodfellow Shoe Fund. Online condolences, livestreaming the service and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.carpentermemorial.com.
