Philip Thomas Olsen, 72, of North Platte, NE passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at his home.

He was born on March 13, 1951 in Hastings, NE the son of Chris and Doris (Jacobsen) Olsen.  He graduated from Omaha Benson High School in 1969.  He then attended NE Christian College in Norfolk, and then Cloud Community College in Colby, KS with a degree in long term care administration.  Phil was a practicing Christian minister and clergyman for over thirty years.  He also loved sports and was a baseball and softball college recruiter for several years.

Phil is survived by daughters, Kimberly (Darrin) Coe of River Falls, WI, and Lisa (David) Fauss of North Platte, NE; grandchildren, Duncan, Jensen, Rowan, Kaylen, and Lillian Coe; brother, Steven (Maureen) Olsen of Omaha, NE; sister in law, Marilyn Lager; and nephews, Chris Olsen, Tyler Olsen, and Derek Olsen; niece, Kendra Foster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother, Dennis.

Friends are invited to visit with family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Valley Christian Church with Rev. Joel Miller officiating.  Private inurnment will be in the Springwell Danish Cemetery in Omaha.

Carpenter Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Platte Opportunity Center.
