Raul Ramon Cardona Tamayo was, 78, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025 surrounded by his loving and devoted family.

Raul was born on September 5th, 1947 to Emicenio Cardona Landivar and Celia in Banes Hulguin, Cuba.  Raul grew up with his family in Cuba.  Raul worked as a Human Resource manager at Partagas Cigar Factory and he continued to work in management until he moved the United State. He lived in Albuquerque, NM, New York and settled in Florida for many years.  While in Florida, Raul, worked in maintenance at Coral Gable High School and Pizza Hut, where he had many friends.  In 2012, he relocated to North Platte, NE, to be close to his family.  Raul, enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling.  He was an excellent father and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emicenio and Celia Tamayo.

Raul is survived by his wife, Maria of Florida; his son, Osmany (Mallory) Cardona-Ramirez and daughter, Arelis Cardona-Ramirez of North Platte NE: grandchildren, Yaniel Palomo-Cardona of Cuba, Raul Osmany Arias-Cardona, Ethan Mikol Cardona-Garner, Chole Sullivan, Annalina Silvia Cardona of North Platte, NE.
