Robert "Bob" Raymond Mitchell, 70, of North Platte, NE, passed away on December 7, 2024, of natural causes.

Bob was born on January 14, 1954, to Ray and Betty (Tritten) Tworek in Columbus, NE. Following his parents' divorce, he was adopted by Keith Mitchell and moved to North Platte, NE, where he was raised and lived the remainder of his life.

In 1969, Bob met Mary Farrell, his high school sweetheart and they were lovingly married for 51 years. Bob leaves behind his children Trent (Jackie) Mitchell, Tonya (Johan) van Rooyen and three beautiful grandchildren, Conrad, Edith, and Gwyneth. His grandchildren were a very special light in his life.

Bob was predeceased by his parents Ray Tworek, Keith and Betty Mitchell, and his brother Doran Mitchell. He is survived by his brothers Troy and Derek (Ruth) Mitchell, and many nieces and nephews.

Bob followed his dream in 1980 and worked tirelessly to build a successful, thriving drywall company in North Platte that remains in the family to this day.

Upon retiring in 2019, he enjoyed relaxation and working on building and restoring his antique hot rods.

Services will be held at Harvest Christian Fellowship on December 14, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., with Pastor Jeremy Rinke officiating.  Burial will be private for the family in the North Platte Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13th at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's, an organization that was close to Bob's heart.
