Roger D Owens, 65, of Ravenna, Nebraska died Thursday May 21, 2020 at Swedish Medical Center in Denver, CO.

Roger was born on October 18th 1954 at Conowingo Maryland to Robert L. Owens and Betty Rambo Owens. He grew up in both Maryland and North Platte and also lived in many other places.

He was united in marriage to Roxann Patterson on November 21st 1973 at Maxwell Nebraska. After which the couple lived in many states and currently resided in Ravenna, NE.

Roger entered the United States Navy on August 30, 1972 he was honorably discharged on October 19, 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Roxann Owens; his 3 children, son, Michael Owens and wife Jennifer of Brighton CO, daughter, Jamie Teply and husband Matt Teply of Ravenna, NE, and daughter, Rebecca Owens and significant other James Faber of Heartwell, NE; 1 brother, Kenneth Owens and wife Dolly; and 1 sister, Mary Gallagher; 8 grandchildren, Thomas Owens of Omaha, NE, Jacey Owens, Sebastian Owens, Suzie Owens and Layla Owens, all of Brighton, CO, Jonathan Brais, Alexander Brais and Sara Faber all of Heartwell, NE, 1 great granddaughter, Zoey Shulte of Grand Island, NE; 1 great grandson, Jackson Owens of Omaha, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Betty Owens and 1 sister Peggy Harris and many aunts and uncles.

Services will be Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Smith Officiating. A Book signing with visitation will be Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
