With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Ronna Lee Ellis, who left this world February 9th, at the age of 49, in North Platte, Nebraska. Ronna was born November 30th, 1976, to Ron Ellis and Cynthia Hastings.

She graduated high school from North Platte High School in 1998. She then began to work at the North Platte Opportunity Center as a clerk.

She was a shining light to everyone who knew her- a truly positive soul with a heart bigger than most. Her joy was contagious, her smile unforgettable, and her spirit beautifully pure. She never met a stranger; to her, everyone was already a friend. She had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and loved, and her presence brightened every room she entered. Family meant everything to her.

She leaves behind her devoted mother, Cindy Hastings, and father Ron Ellis; her loving sister, Jenny Ellis, her uncles Gary (Jacque) Mundhenke and Dennis Ellis; cherished nephews Micheal (Joanna) Hill, Tanner, Kail, and Kaiden Howell, Cody Daniel, Austin Daniel (Autumn Young); niece Kynthia (Tyler) Johnston; grand nephews, Jensen Hill, Brecken Hill, and Dallas Johnston; great grand nephew, Riggs Johnston, and cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who adored her. Ronna loved deeply and freely, and that love will remain with all who were blessed to know her.

She is preceded in death by her older sister, Kim Bolden, her dear aunt Ann (Bernie) Musil, and both of her grandmothers, Vicky Macintosh and Louise Ellis; her grandfathers, Leroy Mundhenke and Wesley (Bud) Ellis-who we take comfort in knowing are waiting to greet her with open arms.

Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in remembering the laughter, warmth, and kindness she shared so effortlessly. Her light will continue to shine through the countless lives she touched. She will be missed beyond words and loved forever.
