Obituary

Sharon A. Hall, age 87, of North Platte, NE passed away on September 10, 2025 at her daughter's home at Stapleton.  She was born on June 21, 1938, the daughter of Milo and Helen (Burgman) Fisher at Clay Center, KS where she grew up. She attended North Platte High School.

In 1956 she married Raymond Smith in Kearney, NE. To this union 6 children were born. She worked as a waitress at the Elks, Top Hat and Airport Inn. She later became the activities director for Centennial Park for 10 years.

She married Joe Hall in 1979 in Las Vegas, NV. She retired in 2005 when she went to California to spend 3 months with her sister.  She enjoyed crocheting and making gifts and baby blankets for others. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for her children.  Sharon will be remembered as a great cook, especially her excellent pies. She volunteered at RSVP for numerous years. Sharon was an avid Husker and KC Chiefs fan for years.

Sharon was a member of the Corner Stone Church, Eagles Auxiliary and a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Those left to cherish her memory are her  5 children, James (Lori) Smith of Florida, Karen Hepler of Oregon, Judy (Tom) Hanna of New Mexico, Chris Gifford of Kansas and Jackie (Jeff) Kelley of Stapleton, NE; 8 grandchildren, JR (Carolyn) Smith, Amber (Chuck) Craig, Jason Hepler, Jacob (Kelsi) Hepler, Melinda (Greg) Girdner, Tim (Tammy) Timmerman, Josh Kelley and Willow Kelley; great grandchildren Kilik, Abishai, Jabez, Balthier, Perrin, Traceton, Anniston, Braxton, June, Charlotte, Kinsley; sisters, Carol (Donnie) DeWolf of North Platte, NE, Nancy Christopoulous of CA; brother Ronnie (Jackie) Fisher of Fremont, NE; and many numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a infant son Raymond; granddaughter Melissa Diehl, nieces, Brenda DeWolf, Courtey Fisher; nephews, Danny DeWolf, Tim Christopoulous; brother Vaughn (Joann) Fisher; brother-in-law John Christopoulous and son in law Ron Hepler.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday September 20, 2025 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brett Hatheway officiating. Burial will follow at North Platte City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 p.m.  to 7:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.

Memorials may be made to the Callahan Cancer Center.

Carpenter Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
