Theodore "Ted' Allen Knox, 65, of North Platte, NE passed away on June 16, 2025 at his home. He was born to Theodore "Bud" and Enda "Joan" Knox on October 16, 1959 in North Platte, NE.
Ted grew up in North Platte and attended North Platte Schools, while working at Maxwell's Off Road Center. Later, he went to work at Inland Truck Center and married Linda Caudillo. To this union a daughter, Shelbi was born.
He married Dee Wilson in October of 2016 in North Platte, NE. Theodore retired from Inland Truck Center after 37 years of service. He enjoyed big trucks, 4-wheeling, and riding his Harley. Ted especially liked to build motors and be social. Ted will always be remembered for his 4th of July parties, chili cook offs, and his great cooking, especially his brisket.
Survivors include his wife, Dee of North Platte, NE; 2 daughters, Shelbi Knox of Raeford, NC and Toni (Hendri) Smit of North Platte, NE; son, Doug (Kaylee) Todd of Gothenburg, NE; grandchildren, Kylee, Hunter, Griffin and Graham, Harlee "Gracie", Remmington "Marilynne", Dresden "Rex"; siblings, Jim (Lori) Smith of Florida, Karen Hepler of Oregon, Judy (Tom) Hanna of New Mexico, Chris Gifford of Salina, Kansas and Jackie (Jeff) Kelley of North Platte, NE; and nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by, his parents; step father, Raymond Smith; niece, Melissa Diehl; and a brother-in-law, Ron Hepler.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Job Vigil officiating. Book Signing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to donations for a tree and the city parks.
