Tim Eugene Hunt, 73 of North Platte, NE passed away on September 2, 2020 at Great Plains Health. He was born on June 13, 1947 to Raleigh F. and Lilly W. (Lofkwist) Hunt at North Platte Memorial Hospital. He had Polio at 8 months old. Hunting, fishing (many master anglers) an extreme Nebraska Cornhusker fan, excellent musician (North Platte Barber Shoppers, High School Band and church with Kevin Latimer.)Tim was baptized in First Christian Church in North Platte, NE. Tim was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wellfleet, NE.

Tim was an excellent horse shoe pitcher, his brother taught him to swim by holding him under water until Tim came up fighting (swimming). He learned to ride a surf board that many others could not do, Tim even taught his dog to ride with him. He also enjoyed bowling. Tim was also a lifetime member of the North Platte Elks Club.

He worked various custodial jobs including, Environmental Services at Great Plains Regional Hospital for over ten years. Tim loved family reunions and many, many friends.

He is survived by brother, Terry (Vicky) of Bertrand, Nebraska, nephew; Allen Joe (Mitzi) Chadron, Chad Lynn (Cherlyn) Elm Creek, great nephews and nieces;  Darrin James Hunt, Hays, KS, Denise Ann Hunt, Elm Creek, Ryan Larry(Karissa) Cox, North Platte,  Nicole (Tim) Schmit of North Platte , cousins; Dorothy (Connor) Gordon, NE,  Ardis (Douglas) Lincoln, NE,  Allen West (Arline) Hinton, OK, Douglas(Doris) Howard of North Platte.

Tim has a host of other family members; Gordon (Suzie) Temple, Larry Eisenbarth, Joe Harris of Torrington, WY., Steve (Cindy) Klein of Sterling, CO, Gerald (Ruth) Klein of Sterling, CO., Nancy (Tim) Clark of Ohio, Bryan West, Hinton, OK, Brenda West of Hinton, OK, Jim (Dottie) Connor of San Antonio, TX, Dan (Kathy) Connor, Ellsworth, NE, Brenda Howard, Central Point, CA,Cody Thorton,OK; and special friend Bernard Gardner; along with numerous other friends who loved Tim.

Graveside services will be Friday September 11, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Wellfleet Cemetery. The family request Husker attire for the service. Visitation will be Thursday September 10, 2020 from noon to 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to the family for later destination. Services will be held following all current health directives regarding Covid-19. The service will be streamed via Carpenter Memorial Chapel's Facebook page for those that cannot attend.
