Lindstedt
March 21, 1941 – January 20, 2018
Trent J. Lindstedt of North Platte Nebraska passed away at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha at the age of 76. Trent was born on March 21, 1941 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Conrad L. and Goldie V. (Nelson) Lindstedt. Trent graduated from Cozad High School in 1959 before moving to Ogallala where he worked for the Ogallala Police Department. Trent then worked for the Cheyenne Pipeline for a spell before being hired on the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer on the Third District.
Trent was an avid car enthusiast, and his love of antique vehicles saw him travel to many different states across the country to attend car shows. Trent spent many hours in his garage working on his beloved trucks and street rods. Trent was a member of the Cody Cruisers, the Moose Lodge, and a former member of the UP Oldtimers.
Trent is survived by his wife Pam (Jamieson) Lindstedt, whom he married on April 10, 1976 in North Platte, his three daughters, Kristy Anthony and her husband Mark of North Platte, Vangi Stewart and her husband Jonathan of Bar Harbor, Maine, and Staci Ponte of North Platte, his brother, Gordon Lindstedt of Cozad, his grandchildren, Tyler and Bryar and his wife Karen Anthony, J. Taylor Stewart and W. Dakota Stewart, Donavon Lillard, and Alexis Ponte, his brother-in-law, Ricki and his wife Mary Lou Jamieson and their daughter, Angela, his niece and nephew, Paige and her husband John Sweeney and Scott and his wife Tracy Lindstedt, along with his special friend, Mary Pressley.
Trent was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Jodi Lindstedt, his granddaughters, Megan Sparks and Emily Anthony, his sister-in-law Babe Lindstedt, his nephew, Jason Jamieson, as well as his father and mother-in-law, Dean and Donna Jamieson.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Harvest Christian Fellowship. Cremation was chosen. A memorial has been established in his memory. Family will be receiving friends on Friday, January 26 from 5–7 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so from 9am to 5pm Wednesday through Friday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is responsible for arrangements.
