Twila Rose Thompson, 88, of Hershey, died May 13, at Centennial Park Retirement Village.
She was born on December 1, 1924, in North Platte to Jess and Esther Gilmore.
Twila was united in marriage to Everett L. Thompson on April 8, 1940. The couple resided in the Bignell area until moving to Hershey where they owned and operated a local print shop. Twila drove the Hershey school bus for several years and it was a big joy in her life.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Esther; her husband Everett, her sisters Doris and Theda; her daughter Diana Manary, and her sons Everett Jr. (Skeeter) and Randy Thompson.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary (Leo) Simants of North Platte and Jan Collins of Quitman, Texas; Eleven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Allen officiating. Inurnment will be at the North Platte Cemetery. Cremation was chosen. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
