Valerie D. Mitchell, 63, of North Platte, passed away March 27, 2019 at Kearney.  She was born on September 4, 1955 to Sophia and Johnny Stinson in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Valerie moved to Denver, CO, where she met Robert Mitchell Sr. They were united in marriage on October 7, 1976. Valerie was employed at Keebler, City Transportation, and as a phlebotomist. She loved spending time with her family, taking care of her house plants and online shopping.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Stinson; husband, Robert Mitchell Sr.; and brother, Ronald Stinson.

Valerie leaves behind her mother, Sophia Stinson; son, Robert Mitchell Jr.; daughters, Samantha Mitchell and Brandi Mitchell; grandchildren, Myesha Dickens, Zavion Mitchell, Nalign Mitchell, and Tayvier Mitchell; along with other family and friends.
