Obituary

Velma Jean Driefholt, 85, passed away March 20, 2018 at the Sutherland Care Center. She was born December 13, 1932 to Ben and Nora (Headly) Marshall at Fullerton, NE. In 1951, she was united in marriage to Charles O. Driefholt at Big Springs. She is survived by a son, Bill Driefholt of Nevada; two daughters, Jackie Miller of North Platte and Melinda Driefholt of Kearney; four granddaughters, Tammi Bjelland, Heather Welch, Misty Brown and Kerry Roth; two great granddaughters, Nevaeh and Jolynn; two great grandsons, Calvin and Charlie; and one great-great grandson, Danny. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles in 2011; and a sister, Doris Bates. Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermemorial.com. A memorial has been established in her memory. Services will be 10:00 a.m. MT Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Paxton Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Baldwin officiating. Burial will be at the Paxton Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in care of arrangements.
